Business Jet

Like most high flyers, I wanted to literally fly high when my career took off and I reached the giddy heights of success in my industry. My time became so valuable that travelling was such a waste of my ability to make money, that a private jet, or business jet, was the only answer to this problem. Sure, I had tried aircraft charter and a variety of charter plane variations, however none of them reduced my travelling time and costs enough to really impact the downtime that travelling represented to the bottom line. It simply was costing too much money to have me sitting around unable to work and make more money. There was only one thing for it, and that was my own executive jet, at my disposal when I needed it, and available to other people as an aircraft lease or business jet charter, when I didn't need to use it. That was the plan, and so the order was placed and as far as I knew, that would be the end of it until my business jet arrive and I could set about using it.

Make Money Buying a Business Jet

So began the wait for my order to be filled. These private jets are made to order, and there are more orders than you might think. The business jet, or executive jet, is not something you can go down to the dealership to get. So, we waited and I had to make do with aircraft charter and jet lease in the meantime. These were not happy days and were costing me money. Then I got a call from the private jet company that had taken my order. Apparently they had a desperate client who needed his business jet as soon as possible and he was willing to pay for it. How much, I enquired, $100,000 USD came the answer. Done I said, if you double it. There was some silence, before confirmation came through that my highly inflated price would be paid. $200,000 to return to the back of the line for the private jet was well worth it, especially as orders had dropped off recently and the line was not as long as when I first got on it. And that was that, a day later I had my $200,000 and I was back at the end of the line for the executive jet that I had ordered, but only two weeks further away from receiving my business jet. Private jet companies are always very grateful to people like myself who take such options as it allows them to please their customers and I got a great deal in the end on my executive jet when it arrived. They had stocked it with additional features that I had not originally ordered to show how much they appreciated what I had done. I decided then and there that I would order another, and I have never looked back since. I've sold my place in the business jet queue three times now, all for around the same or similar amount of money. I figure that if I keep this up, my business jet will pay for itself one day!

Lease your Business Jet

As I indicated earlier, it was my intention to lease out my business jet once I had it so that it could make money for me while I wasn’t using it. I have been doing this for a while now and I have found that it can make money, however not really enough to pay for itself completely. I find that my business jet is best thought of as my plane, and that sometimes it is leased to other people to defray some of the expenses that are associated with my jet. I am fortunate in that my career has continued to improve and I now use my jet almost exclusively without the need to lease it out. Anyone considering getting a business jet should, in my opinion, be aware that they need to be using it most of the time for it to be worthwhile. If you are not using it that much, then rent the business jet from people like me as you will be able to get it for pretty much cost price anyway. For people like me however, I need to have access to my business jet at all times.
